The Rada registered the draft resolution on the urgent transfer of Mikheil Saakashvili abroad for medical treatment

In the Rada of Ukraine, a draft resolution was registered on the transfer of the former president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, abroad for medical treatment, Olena Shuliak, head of "People's Servant", reports on her Telegram channel.

"The draft resolution 8417 of the Rada of Ukraine on the appeal to Georgia, the European Parliament, the European Council, the European Commission, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the parliaments of the EU member states to immediately transfer Mikheil Saakashvili abroad for medical treatment has been registered," wrote Shuliak.

In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine calls on the Georgian authorities to stop insulting Mikheil Saakashvili and hand him over to Ukraine. The document was signed by 90 People's Deputies.

"The former president of Georgia and now a citizen of Ukraine is in a critical condition. Therefore, the Georgian side must provide proper medical assistance, as well as create conditions for his transfer to one of the European or American clinics for treatment," wrote Shuliak.

  In addition, Shuliak also noted that the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, of which Georgia is a member, in its resolution 2463 adopted in 2022, called on the Georgian authorities to review and release the cases of political prisoners who oppose Russia's aggressive policy, including Mikheil Saakashvili.
