Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili stated at the economic forum in Qatar that Ukraine wants to see the "second front" in Georgia. Gharibashvili says that his task is to protect the national interests and people of the country.

"I want to ask you what else Georgia can do to support Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. Ukrainian friends may have different expectations, they have publicly stated that they want to see a second front in Georgia. We have had enough of war, after the restoration of independence we had two wars - the civil war in the 90s and then in 2008 with Russia, a small nation with a population of 4 million, directly went to war with Russia. We have maintained security, peace and stability, this is important, my task, my obligation is to protect the national interests of my country, to protect my people," he said. Garibashvili.

According to the Prime Minister, it is in his interest to do his best to bring Georgia closer to NATO and the European Union - "If anyone in Georgia has seen any tangible results, it is the merit of my government, it is the merit of the political force that we represent".
