Nika Gvaramia's trial has ended - the next trial was scheduled for October 11

The discussion of Nika Gvaramia's case in the Tbilisi Court of Appeal is nearing its end. Today, the parties presented their final speech before the panel, but the defense side did not have time to deliver the final speech, taking this into account, the next session was scheduled for October 11, where lawyer Dimitri Sadzaglishvili will deliver the final speech. 

 On October 24, the parties will present their responses, after which the panel of judges will hold discussions, although it is not known when the second instance will announce its decision.

 According to the CEO of the Mtavari Channel, Nika Gvaramia's lawyer Dito Sadzaglishvili, "the prosecution is still trying to prove black is white", however, according to him, it is obvious that the verdict of the first instance is political.

 "During the period of Nika Gvaramia's managment, including the period for which he is accused, Rustavi 2 was the most successful TV company, and it received much more revenue than under the current management, which clearly indicates political motivation, and as for the second accusation, the fact that he is in prison at all is completely absurd and ridiculous...

Today, the prosecutors complained that it seems that something is being misinterpreted, but yes, it is really true, in a language that is understandable to the public, Nika Gvaramia is in prison for using a car owned by the company for personal purposes, this is a plot of the accusation, and we must not forget, that the founders of this company testify to the court that not only they have no complaints buy all this happened with their consent...
