"Dream" retreats - the ruling team withdraws the broadcasting law

The Georgian dream has retreated. The ruling team has withdrawn the law on broadcasting.
According to the majority MP Roman Kakulia, due to the fact that the project, which authorizes the Communications Regulatory Commission to appoint a special manager, has caused a big resonance in the media, it will no longer be adopted in this version.

Nevertheless, Dream MP also clarified that consultations with the ruling team regarding the changes will continue.

The law will be withdrawn in general. Because today, in the run-up to the elections, I think it is not worth discussing this topic.  As for the operators, even though the law has been accelerated, it does not mean that even the minimum standards for the adoption of the law and communication with the sector regarding the existing changes in this law should not be respected. It was obvious that there was a lack of communication but we will try these days, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, to make the most of this communication deficit and consider all arguments expressed in the sector with the  regulator, - says Roman Kakulia.
