Trade operations, transportation of products, privatization of property - what is limited by the sanction on Ivanishvili's entourage?

Droa leader Elene Khoshtaria reacted to Ukraine's imposition of sanctions on the Ivanishvili entourage. She talks about the restrictions that will affect the oligarch's entourage after this decision:

"These people will be restricted in trade operations in Ukraine, in the ability to transport and transit products, they will be restricted from taking capital out of Ukraine, all licenses will be revoked and suspended, they will be prohibited from privatizing - buying property, they will be restricted in property rights, and they will not be able to use the territorial waters and air space of Ukraine," Khoshtaria says.

She says the sanctioning of Ivanishvili's family members is a warning to Bidzina Ivanishvili himself and is linked to his oligarchic activities. The main motive of the sanctioning is ties with the Kremlin.

According to Khoshtaria, with this decision Ukraine has divided the Ivanishvili clan and the state of Georgia, not sanctioned the country, but directly sanctioned the closest entourage of the de facto ruler of the country.

According to her, President Zelensky's decision is a message to the world to join Ukraine and impose sanctions against them.

According to the Droa leader, they will continue to work with their partners to expand both the list of individual sanctions and the list of countries that will impose restrictions against oligarchic rule in Georgia.
