There will be no evaluation mission in Georgia in December - Vashadze said at the meetings held in Brussels

The most catastrophic assessment is the attacks on the West, the accusation of war, as if someone wants to start war in Georgia, this is a political context, which negatively affects the decision to be made regarding Georgia - Giorgi Vashadze, leader of Strategy Agmashenebeli , made this statement after returning from the meetings held in Brussels.
At a special briefing Giorgi Vashadze and the leader of "Girchi More Freedom" Zurab Japaridze spoke about the meetings with European partners.
According to Giorgi Vashadze, those people in Europe who are directly working on granting Georgia the status of an EU candidate do not see either the steps taken by the Georgian authorities to receive the status or the political will to implement the 12 recommendations.
Strategy Leader Agmashenebeli says Georgia will not get the assessment in December:
"In June 2022, Georgia had every chance to get EU candidate status along with Moldova and Ukraine. Unfortunately, this chance was not realized because the Georgian Dream failed to implement democratic reforms and, moreover, took steps that led to a negative result for Georgia's Candidate Status.
It is important that we still have a chance to get the status of candidate of the European Union, although the way that the Georgian Dream is going, will not lead us to the European Union, because there is no political will on their part to implement democratic reforms and those reforms that are listed in 12 points. They are reform of electoral system, reform of fundamental justice, reform of mass media and the issue of release of Nika Gvaramia was raised at every sitting and you know that the European Parliament passed a separate resolution on it.
The issue of de-oligarchization registered in the Parliament by Georgian Dream is a reason for negative evaluation by the European Union because it does not meet the 12-point claim, which is given, therefore we still have a chance, but there will be no assessment mission in December because they don't see any progress in the direction of these reforms and it's very important for us, all pro-Western forces, to find the important foundation of unity on which we will build our action plan in the future in order for Georgia to seize this historic opportunity, "- said Giorgi Vashadze.
