The so-called Liberals are directly and brazenly fighting our traditions - the "Renegades" are making a statement

Published:

The MPs, in name separated from the Georgian Dream, which founded the public organization People's Power, issue another statement attacking the American embassy and Kelly Degnan personally.

In addition, the deputies criticize liberalism and write that "so-called liberals are both directly and brazenly fighting our traditions and all the institutions that express those traditions."

We quote the statement in full.

"Over the past few months, we have been asking the American ambassador about issues important to society. We wondered if she would separate herself from the second front rhetoric, the demand for government resignation and other actions that politicians and NGOs who have benefited from the Embassy's favor and funding have taken quite openly and publicly. Our goal was, to make the public believe that the Embassy had nothing to do with the attempt to return the National Movement to power and start a war in Georgia. .

However, today we will not focus on this aspect of the ambassador's reaction. Today we would like to draw public attention to the attitude of the embassy and its supporters toward people with a different opinion. It is an attitude that, except for embassy representatives and agents, is of no value to anyone. Everyone is obliged to blindly believe what the embassy says. No one has the right not only to criticize, but even to ask questions. They don't answer any questions, they don't try to dispute anything at all, they just tell you to shut up and wait for developments, even if those developments may entail the destruction of your country. This is, on the one hand, a manifestation of a completely insulting and non-partisan attitude, and on the other hand, a clear illustration of the model they are trying to implement in the name of liberalism, which has nothing to do with true liberalism and the idea of freedom.

Liberalism is based on the idea of freedom, and one of its basic principles should be respect for freedom of speech and dissent. Moreover, the idea of liberalism is qualitatively opposed to any attempt through an aggressive all-out campaign to try to force society to accept ideas that are qualitatively unacceptable to it.

There is a well-known "Overton method" according to which any idea, even if it is fundamentally unacceptable to society, can first be accustomed to its ears, then transferred to the category of tolerable, and later acceptable, and finally, can be turned not only into a pleasant and popular idea, but anyone who is against the idea can even be declared an enemy of common sense.

It is through this method that the so-called Liberals around the world and in Georgia aggressively introduce such ideas as same-sex marriage, sex change for minors, etc. The holding of Pride is announced as the main measure of a country's civility. In some countries children are given the opportunity to change sex even without parental consent, the concept of neutral gender is introduced, special kindergartens are opened for LGBT children, etc. And all this is done in the name of progressivism, and anyone who opposes this aggressive campaign is instantly branded an enemy of progress and backward.

This approach to the opposite view and the opponent in general is characteristic of any radical ideology. The Bolsheviks, who at the beginning of the last century had considerable success in taking themselves as a progressive caste and their opponents as regressive thinkers, did the same. A century ago they managed to portray Gigla Berbichashvili as a progressive thinker and Ilia Chavchavadze as a regressive thinker in the perception of a significant part of society. In general, what distinguishes any radical ideology is that it provides a unique opportunity to portray the dark as elitist.

Today, the so-called Liberal ideology, which is one of the most aggressive ideological currents in human history. It is indicative that the so-called Liberal ideology in Georgia is promoted by radicals burdened with complexes, who are trying to prove their false superiority over the reasonable and moderate part of society with the help of this ideology.

As former Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru said, there is no greater enemy for a country than an elite nurtured by a colonizer. It is this pseudo-elite, which has very little in common with intellect and true education, today acts as the so-called Vanguard of propaganda of liberal ideology, whose only goal is the "denationalization" of Georgia and the complete emptying of society of national and Christian values.

We are against all forms of discrimination and believe that the rights of every person should be protected equally. Also the private and intimate life of any person should be inviolable and no one should have the right to interfere in it. It was in this spirit that we supported the anti-discrimination law at one time. Besides, Georgians do not learn tolerance from anyone, and against the background of conservative views our society has always been able to treat other people's privacy, beliefs and worldviews with due respect.

If anything can stir up anti-tolerant sentiments in Georgia, it is the aggressive propaganda that the so-called Liberals produce. Their aggressive propaganda also contributes to artificially inflaming anti-Western sentiments in our country, which is categorically unacceptable to us.

We are promised that we will be accepted "with traditions in Europe," but the so-called Liberals, at the same time, directly and openly fight against our traditions and all institutions that express these traditions. so-called One of the main targets of the liberals' attack is the Orthodox Church, which they see as a strong institution on guard of national and Christian values, as a natural opponent to their aggressive ideology and therefore they actively fight it in various forms and forms.

The desire and goal of the Georgian people is to integrate into the European family through tradition, not through the rejection or condemnation of national and Christian values. Accordingly, all those who are hostile to our national traditions and Christian values directly and rudely oppose this desire and goal of the Georgian people. Therefore, the so-called Disclosure of the aggressive campaign carried out by liberals will be one of the most important directions of our future activities," the message reads.
