Nazi Janezashvili, a candidate for public defenders, says she is not going to participate in an interview at the parliamentary commission for protection of human rights and civil integration. According to her, they put on some kind of show and performances at the interview.
Janezashvili says she will not withdraw his candidacy. According to her, according to the law and procedures established by the Georgian parliament, attendance at the interview is not obligatory.
"I'm saying directly that I'm not going to withdraw my candidacy, but at the same time I'm not going to participate in the interview. Initially, my interest in participating in this process was because this stage is very important for Georgia, in terms of implementing the 12-point plan, I thought it might be an exception, and the government to truly choose a principled, unbiased and independent candidate as a result of compromise, although the interview process did not leave me with the impression that they are actually seeking to choose a candidate who is acceptable to the public and will meet all the conditions that a decent state should have.
According to her, if you ask the candidates to explain the critical remarks they made in the past, an impression is left that no choice will actually be made on the basis of that interview.
