The "People's Power" movement publishes another statement of anti-Western rhetoric and this time criticizes critical television stations together with the American Embassy. The authors of the statement claim that "media outlets belonging to the National Movement" circulate lies and hatred every day.
According to them, the main task of televisions is "demoralizing people, sowing nihilism, emptying people of traditional values, making society a blind tool of manipulation and as a result, ensuring full political intervention in the state".
"Any attempt to suppress the language of excessive lies and hatred in the modern media, both in the world and in Georgia, is aggressively opposed by the so-called liberals, who under the guise of freedom of expression, in fact, protect the main weapon of their political hegemony - lies and hatred. The so-called liberal The media outlets belonging to the National Movement have become the main tool for the spread of ideology in Georgia. The main leader of these media outlets has openly stated "de-nationalization" as his goal. The TV stations belonging to the National Movement are completely closed to any alternative opinion and they openly fight against everything Georgian, especially state institutions and the church, aggressively trying to introduce the kind of thinking and pseudo-values that are organically unacceptable for the Georgian society," the statement reads.
"People's Power" says that "so-called liberals" forbid them to "even think about solving the problem". It is mentioned in the statement that a large amount of black money is spent to maintain "National Movement Televisions", and according to the ratings, 10-15 percent of the population watches them.
"The main user and customer of the televisions belonging to the National Movement is the embassy, which sees its main chance in the radicalization of Georgian politics and the instrumentalization of society with lies and hatred. In the campaign against state institutions and the church, the embassy's favorite radical opposition and NGOs are the most actively involved in the campaign against them. It is this media that actively stirs up hatred and radicalism, which does not give the Georgian political system the opportunity to break through the so-called closed circle of polarization. It is obvious that this radicalism, as the main tool for changing the government against the will of the people, is ordered and nurtured by the embassy." - it is written in the statement.
"People's Power" says that "Georgian Dream" does not have the courage to confront the Americans and take such an important step for the country and society.
