The meeting between European Commissioner and Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili ended. After the meeting, they held a joint briefing with the media.

At the briefing, Garibashvili stated that all the results on the European path are the merit of the Georgian dream. In addition, Garibashvili spoke again about the past and the previous government, calling it a "dictatorial regime," and said that since 2012 the government "has achieved tangible results in a very short time."

"Since our leadership came to power, all the tangible results on the European path are the merit of us, the ruling party, be it the association agreement, the free trade agreement, and now the European perspective, all this we brought to our people and our country, and it was not by accident. Of course, this was preceded by a lot of hard work and a lot of work that our team has done over the past 10 years.

Let me remind you that before 2012 we lived in conditions of almost dictatorial regime, autocratic regime, where there were no signs of democracy - no free mass media, no free trial, the unification process in the country started 3 years late, visa-free travels started in our time, we have corrected all that and in a very short term we have achieved tangible results which distinguish Georgia as one of the most advanced Eastern European countries," - he said.

In addition, Garibashvili told the media about the 12 recommendations of the European Commission and said that the opposition is not involved in the process.

"I would like to note that, unfortunately, not all actors are involved in this process. The opposition, whose direct obligation is to implement this main, first recommendation, namely depolarization, is not involved, and we have made it clear that this cannot be achieved unless there is a similar willingness to cooperate on their part.
After all 12 recommendations were presented to us, the parliament took the initiative, presented its plan, how we, the ruling government, the party, the government, the parliament - all together we implement all these 12 priorities. to all participants - opposition parties, NGOs, the sector, all those who are interested in implementing these 12 recommendations. I want to say that this is not only the status of the government, the status of the candidate is the status of the country, so it belongs to all the citizens of our country, so once again I want to stress that our door is open to everyone. and I want to remind you once again that they must be involved in this process," said Garibashvili.
