"I ask the President of Georgia to pardon Nika Gvaramia" - MEP Anna Fotyga talks about this on the air of the "Mtavari Channel".
She says that "the charges for which Nika Gvaramia is arrested are completely insignificant". According to him, she thinks that "it is politically motivated".
Anna Fotyga also speaks about the third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili - she says that he should be given the opportunity to receive treatment.
"We always try to be positive in our relations with the government, when we ask that Saakashvili be allowed to leave for treatment for humanitarian purposes, because his treatment in Georgia, unfortunately, is not appropriate and does not bring positive results. I think that this situation hurts Georgia a lot," - Fotyga said.
According to her, she supports the integration of Georgia into the European Union: "Despite my worries about the situation in Georgia, I fully support the integration of Georgia into the European Union... sometimes it is necessary not to focus on small things, the main thing is to have the right general vision".
