Levan Khabeishvili will fight for the chairmanship of the UNM

Levan Khabeishvili will fight for the chairmanship of the United National Movement - he announced this at a briefing held at the central office of the party.

As a result of several days of consultations, together with my friends and comrades, I decided to take part in the elections and offer my own candidacy to the supporters of the National Movement.

I accept the challenge to return a strong, active national movement and, accordingly, to return a real uncompromising militant opposition in Georgian politics. My goal is to return the National Movement to the people to whom it belongs, to its voters, to its supporters and to everyone for whom the National Movement is the main platform and opportunity to defeat the Russian oligarch, Bidzina Ivanishvili.

The National Movement should return to those people for whom the ideals of the Rose Revolution are important," says Khabeishvili.
