"Unfair criticism doesn't matter to us," was how the Dream Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze reacted to a meeting in the U.S. Senate, where senators talked about the decline of democracy in Georgia and the end of financial aid.
According to Kobakhidze, most of their funding goes to NGOs, and "they should be worried about that."
"Most of this funding goes to NGOs, so from a practical point of view we are not interested, as far as unfair criticism is concerned, it has no meaning. Only criticism that has a concrete basis can have value, which means in this case we have once again heard unfair criticism, which is worthless to us... As for the NGO funding, NGOs care be concerned, why should we care, whether NGOs are funded or not, NGOs should care. I heard from one of the former ambassadors that reservations are irrelevant, because they work through NGOs, this was said by former US ambassador, not me and I practically repeat the same thing, whether they will be funded or not, let them worry about it, we can not worry about it," Kobakhidze says.
