U.S. Senate and State Department are convinced that the Dream is not going to fulfill the 12 points - Statement of the three parties

As for the assessments of U.S. senators regarding Georgia, three parties - "Girchi - More Freedom", "Droa" and "Strategy Agmashenebeli" issued a joint statement, which says that in the current geopolitical situation the actions of Georgian government forces the strategic partner to talk about military and economic interests of the country and about aid, but about total regression in Georgia.

"The betrayal by the Georgian Dream of Georgia's national interests is obvious. The statements of U.S. senators and the Georgian government's response to them once again confirm that they have definitively chosen to side with Russia. Unity and decisive steps are needed now more than ever.

As a result of Russian aggression, the civilizational confrontation between the West and Russia has reached a climax; Ukraine's self-sacrifice has opened unique geopolitical opportunities for us - the foundation for the future of our region has been laid. At this historic moment, the actions of the Georgian government compel our most important strategic partner, the strongest international guarantor of security, democratic development and independence of Georgia, the United States of America, to speak not about military assistance and plans for the economic revival of our country, but about a total regression in Georgia. Under the new distribution of power in the region, isolating Georgia from its partners is a deliberate traitorous policy of the Georgian Dream, a betrayal of the state. "A huge blow to democracy" is how the events in Georgia were assessed on November 16 at a U.S. Senate hearing on the South Caucasus. Senators and State Department officials not only criticized the Georgian government's actions toward independent media and the opposition, but even talked about the conditionality of U.S. aid to Georgia, which implies the dependence of U.S. financial support for Georgia on the actions of the Georgian government. It is therefore clear that "the Georgian Dream's attempts to mislead the West and present itself as a pro-Western power are convincing fewer and fewer people in Western political circles. The US Senate and the State Department were convinced that the Dream was not going to fulfill the 12 points set by the European Commission, which, according to the US, is the way to European and Euro-Atlantic integration of our country.

The most important thing is to correctly assess the current situation in the country and to call things by their proper names so that we can take the right steps. The Senate hearings once again confirm that, like our European partners, the U.S. is clearly aware of the brutality of oligarchic rule and state capture in Georgia. Senators also have a legitimate expectation that the Georgian people will continue to fight tirelessly for freedom and hold their government accountable. Indeed, government accountability is first and foremost determined by the citizens. The Georgian people's struggle for their own future is something the free world has always supported and continues to support today. Accordingly, we must not stop fighting and strengthen the goodwill of our partners toward the Georgian people.

The political parties "Girchi - More Freedom", "Strategy Agmashenebeli" and "Droa" have united around the most important goal of our country. Only by working together can the desire of the vast majority of the Georgian people be realized: to free the pro-Western majority from the ruling pro-Russian minority, to reclaim the seized state and make it a full member of the Euro-Atlantic family. The fulfillment of this goal is in the hands of us, the citizens of Georgia," reads the joint statement of the three parties.
