It's a matter of honor not to let anyone talk over us for funding their own agency - "people power" on the U.S.

Like Georgian Dream, the People's Power movement, known for its anti-Western rhetoric, also claims that most US funding is used for non-governmental organizations in Georgia. According to them, this means that "the money is not used for our country, but for their own agency."

"We consider it a matter of honor not to allow anyone look down on us for funding their own agency. Moreover, we believe that the current practice of funding NGOs from abroad poses a natural threat to Georgia's sovereignty. Therefore, not only should we not be talked down over the funding of NGO's, but instead this funding should be put in a strict legal framework, with which we will soon prepare our proposals in accordance with Western best practices," the statement reads.

In addition to the American criticism, Peoples Power says that European parliamentarians are passing "unfair resolutions" that "have the sole purpose of weakening democratic government and strengthening the agency."

"The main authors of these resolutions are representatives of the European agentocracy - Kubilius, Jukneaviciene, von Kramon, Fotiga and others, acting from beginning to end under their dictate and the common patrons of the national movement," the statement says.
