Unlike Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine were granted candidate status in advance - Garibashvili

Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili once again repeats that, unlike Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine have been given the status as an "advance stimulus". He spoke on the subject during his interlocutory address to the Parliament.

Garibashvili also reiterates that Georgia was and is ten times ahead of both countries.

"No one disputes, even in the European Union, only in a narrow group, that Georgia was ten times ahead of Ukraine and Moldova on all fronts. We were and remain the leading state among the countries of the Eastern Partnership, nothing has changed with this, one of the main distinguishing features of our status.
We heard statements by European leaders that this decision, that the majority of the European Union supported the decision and granted candidate status as an advance to Ukraine and Moldova, was due to one specific reason, we heard direct statements that since Ukraine is at war, it means that a political decision was taken and Moldova, when it is in a state equal to war and in a very difficult situation, was also granted candidate status as an advance, although with the same reservations that they, unlike Georgia, were given an encouragement, but they also have to fulfill many obligations. - Gharibashvili said.
