After two days of silence, the Prime Minister expressed his condolences to the families of the citizens who died in Ukraine:
"First of all, I would like to express my condolences to the families of the victims, their loved ones, relatives, for us this is a great pain, in a certain way, a great loss. 33 of our fellow citizens died in this war, in Ukraine, which is certainly a tragedy for us," Gharibashvili said. At the government meeting, he reminded the public that the government covers the costs of return of the soldiers who died in Ukraine and buries them with military honors:
"Once again, I would like to clarify that by the decision of our government, in agreement with the families, all the dead were returned with the involvement of the government, I mean the previous cases, these costs are fully covered by the government, also by our decision, since most of them were ex-military, policemen, officers, they participated in our In the wars on the territories, in 2008, and before that, the wars in Abkhazia and Samachablo, according to our decision, all such cases were buried with dignity, with military honor," said Gharibashvili.
