Despite numerous requests, we have not received a response from the Georgian government regarding the supply of weapons to Ukraine - Kasyanov

"Unfortunately, since the beginning of Russia's large-scale aggression, despite numerous requests, we have not received a response from the Georgian government regarding the provision of arms, ammunition and other equipment for both military and dual purpose to Ukraine," said Andrey Kasyanov, the temporary charge d'affaires of Ukrainian affairs in Georgia, at the summing up of the year held at the Ukrainian Embassy.

According to him, the Ukrainian side is concerned and denies any accusations regarding the attempt to involve Georgia in the war:

"We reject any accusations against Ukraine of trying to drag Georgia into a war with the Russian Federation. We are very concerned about the constant accusations and speculations on this topic in the domestic politics of Georgia. Ukraine still needs weapons, ammunition and equipment, many European countries took advantage of this opportunity and provided us with outdated weapons and ammunition. Material whose shelf life is approaching the limit of use and required significant financial resources, said Kasyanov.
