According to Lomjaria, Mikheil Saakashvili's health condition is assessed as serious, which satisfies the request for a postponement of his sentence:

"According to the Public Defender's assessment, this is in accordance with the requirements of Article 283 of the Criminal Code, which at least in such a situation provides for the postponement of the sentence of the convicted person. Therefore, once again, if we judge legally, this conclusion tells me that the patient's condition is serious, according to the Criminal Code Article 283 says that a convicted person can be suspended from serving his sentence if his illness is severe, which prevents the execution of the sentence, so once again, since his health condition is assessed as serious, I think that at least Mikheil Saakashvili's condition satisfies the request to postpone his sentence.

The council of the Public Defender regarding Mikheil Saakashvili's health condition has released a medical report today, which states that the third president's condition has worsened in recent months and that his life is in danger.

According to the doctors' conclusion, the treatment of Mikheil Saakashvili cannot be continued in Georgia, because the Georgian medical field does not have the experience of managing a patient like him.
