The fourth president of Georgia, Giorgi Margvelashvili, responds to the distribution of footage of the third president by the penitentiary service and says that he does not expect a fair decision from the court. According to him, we are in a country where we have political prisoners and they are tortured.
"Why do we expect that any rights of this person will be protected. Why do we expect that the court, which has traditionally played the role of political justice, will now, in this case, take any steps either in the form of humanity, or human rights, or even procedural fairness. We are in a country where the constitution does not work, which has changed the western course, I am in a country where we have political prisoners and they are being tortured," said Margvelashvili.
