The lawyer of the third president of Georgia, Shalva Khachapuridze, says that the publication of the footage of Mikheil Saakashvili by the penitentiary service is a criminal offense. According to him, the agency did not have the prisoner's permission to distribute this material, i.e. personal data.

The lawyer says that they will contact the Special Investigation Service to start the investigation.

"The government has decided to use all prohibited methods in order to deprive Saakashvili of his right to a fair trial. We request the Special Investigation Service to start an investigation against the relevant employees of the Ministry of Justice, who disseminated these footage, and against the employees of the Penitentiary Service, who lied today and did not organize Saakashvili's trial." , - said Khachapuridze.
