A part of the parliamentary faction of the UNM starts a hunger strike, demanding that Mikheil Saakashvili be transferred to a suitable clinic abroad. Davit Kirkitadze made a statement about this at the briefing held in the Parliament:
"Today, my friends and I, despite the differences of opinion in the faction, made a decision that until Mikheil Saakashvili is transferred to a country where his health will be ensured, we will go on hunger strike. Regarding this political act, there were differences of opinion within the faction, but we made this decision. Deeply I am sure that this political act will be growing, it will be within the walls of the parliament and it will be outside the walls of the parliament as well." Davit Kirkitadze said.
