With Zelensky's statement, whether the "dream" wants to or not, Saakashvili's life will draw a dividing line between historical darkness and historical light - Nika Gvaramia

Nika Gvaramia, the CEO of the "Mtavari Channel", responds to the statement of the President of Ukraine regarding the third president.

Nika Gvaramia writes that today the survival of Mikheil Saakashvili is not an issue to be discussed in terms of only one person, and this issue determines the historical choice of Georgia.

I would like to respond to President Zelensky's call regarding Saakashvili's humanitarian transfer abroad.

Today, President Zelensky is the moral leader of the world. If anyone can be called anti-Putin, it is Zelensky. Moreover, the processes of Putin's marginalization and Zelensky's symbolization are proceeding at such a speed that we will soon call Putin anti-Zelensky.

With Zelensky's statement, whether the "Georgian dream" wants it or not, Saakashvili's life will draw a dividing line between historical darkness (Putin) and historical light (Zelensky). This is the situation, and whoever agrees with it and who does not, this situation cannot be changed. Today, Saakashvili's life does not belong only to Saakashvili. Today, Saakashvili's survival is not an issue to be discussed only from the point of view of one person. This issue lies in the historical plane and determines the historical choice of Georgia.

Finally, when presidents address another country, they first address their Vis à vis, that is, the president of the other country. I will stop here, I think it is already clear what I mean. I will add only one thing: "Georgian Dream" and its court will not let Saakashvili go. It's a paradox, but after Zelensky's statement, they will struggle against it even more, writes Nika Gvaramia.
