Mikheil Tevdoradze, a Georgian fighter who died in Ukraine, was laid to rest in his homeland late last night. At Tbilisi International Airport, he was greeted by civil activists and relatives with flags from Georgia and beyond.
The deceased fighter will be taken to his native village in Kutaisi today and will be buried with military honors on Tuesday. Mikheil Tevdoradze was killed near the town of Bakhmut, according to his sister, the fighters were out of ammunition, which Tevdoradze brought to the place, when he was shot by a sniper.
Along with Mikheil Tevdoradze, Sergi Kartvelishvili also died, whose body cannot be laid to rest.
Due to the difficult situation, even the 5 Georgian fighters who died on December 3 could not be released from Bakhmut. The city is now one of the hottest spots on the front line.
