The Georgian government refused to grant Georgian citizenship to an Abkhaz resident of occupied Abkhazia - Gamsakhurdia

According to Lado Gamsakhurdia, a Georgian fighting in Ukraine, the Georgian government refused to grant Georgian citizenship to a resident of occupied Abkhazia, who wanted to volunteer in the ranks of the "Caucasus Legion" in Ukraine:

"After almost a month of waiting, the Georgian government refused to grant Georgian citizenship to a resident of occupied Abkhazia, an Abkhazian.
For the first time in the recent history of Georgia, Abkhazians want to receive Georgian citizenship, come to Ukraine and enroll as volunteers in the ranks of the "Caucasian Legion", under my personal command, the war against the Russian occupation troops as an idea!
  Abkhazians don't want to travel with an uncertain Abkhazian document and want a Georgian one, but you refuse.

As the years pass, I, a refugee from Abkhazia, who did not want to take a passport issued by the Russian or local separatist government in Abkhazia and remained a citizen of Georgia, as time passes, I am convinced that the problem of restoring the territorial integrity of Georgia is artificially created by our own government.
I am sure that during two terms of state management, I would be able to restore the country's territorial integrity and hand over a united, strong democratic state to the next generation!
