The chairman of the "National Movement" faction, Khatia Dekanoidze, held a briefing in the parliament and evaluated the decision to visit the members of the parliament with Mikheil Saakashvili.
Khatia Dekanoidze said that with this decision "practically, the authorities promised to transfer Mikheil Saakashvili to complete isolation".
"Practically, the government promised to transfer Mikheil Saakashvili to complete isolation, yesterday, the day before yesterday, his children were not allowed to visit him. Today, members of the parliament have restricted the right to visit Mikheil Saakashvili. And any person who is in a penitentiary institution... this complete isolation, which ended with another decision postponement of Mikheil Saakashvili's trial is a proof that his political and humanitarian isolation, as well as health issues, is the final decision of the government, which means that his health condition will deteriorate further," said Dekanoidze.
According to the deputy, he does not think that the chairman of the parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, made this decision alone. He also recalled that his children were not allowed to visit Mikheil Saakashvili in the past days.
"If it is a matter of violating and tightening security measures, i.e. they themselves denied that the security norms related to Mikheil Saakashvili are not observed, they acknowledged the very serious statements that were made by the toxicologist at the court... the government imposed the so-called security measures I would like to ask the members of the parliament and her family what danger little Aliska Saakashvili poses to the government, Edvad Saakashvili to the government, who go to visit a person who is in a serious condition, what kind of danger can we pose?", said Khatia Dekanoidze.
