The lawyer of the third president of Georgia, Shalva Khachapuridze, says that they will inform the relevant agencies in writing about Mikheil Saakashvili's desire to physically attend the trial. At the next session, the lawyer will put forward a motion to conduct daily proceedings.

He calls on the Special Investigation Service and the Prosecutor's Office to speed up the investigation into the possible poisoning of Mikheil Saakashvili. The next session is scheduled for January 9 in the city court.

"It is his wish, and we are informing the penitentiary service, the court and the clinic "Viva Med" in writing, that he should be physically present at the court proceedings. Today, we are appealing to the special investigation service and the prosecutor's office to begin the work related to the fact of Saakashvili's poisoning and torture in the penitentiary service, since two of the interrogated American experts have spoken about this. I want to remind the doctors, the employees of the penitentiary service who take part in this case, that torture, because it sounded like this, does not have a statute of limitations, governments come and go, the article of torture remains," said Khachapuridze.
