Mikheil Saakashvili's appeal to Christo Grozev

The third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, addresses Christo Grozev, the head of investigative journalism group, Bellingcat. The statement was published on his official Facebook page:

Dear Christo 

I have been a fan of your work for a long time, but I never thought I would have to ask for your help.

You probably know that an American laboratory and a famous New York toxicologist determined that I was poisoned in prison in March of this year. Indeed, in March I felt very bad, I had a high fever, a crisis state, vomiting, heavy sweating, headache. The covid tests were negative. My health has not improved since then. The prison authorities had to transfer me to the clinic, where the doctors immediately suspected poisoning, but the administration took as much time as possible to remove the traces of the poison from the blood. Unfortunately for them, much later, poisons and heavy metals were found in my hair and nails.

I write to you openly because my correspondence is still monitored.  If you can, will you investigate Russian and Russian-affiliated movements in Georgia? It is an established fact that General Beseda and other FSB officials often came to Georgia. If you can, investigate the hidden and oligarchic schemes between Russia and Georgia. I am sure that there are many things to find, which will also be important for saving my life, - writes Mikheil Saakashvili.
