American expert, neurologist Emmanuel Lahan, says the third president's diseases are impeded for punishment. He responded to the question of lawyer Shalva Khachapuridze at the trial, where he was questioned as a witness.

At the session, Lahan said that Mikheil Saakashvili had seizures, dementia, a significant degree PTSD and polypharmia.

"Yes, I consider it as a neurolopathologist that his serious illnesses are a hindrance to him serving a sentance," Lahan said.
