"Georgian Dream" has officially launched its election campaign today and presented Tbilisi and regional majoritarian candidates. Bidzina Ivanishvili, the Chairman of the party, after several months of disappearance, appeared for the first time at the presentation of the majoritarian candidates and addressed the audience. In his speech Ivanishvili also touched upon the opposition and said that for them, seizing the power was a revenge.
"This crisis has shown everyone that the reins of power in the country are in safe hands and that the government" of the " Georgian Dream"is the guarantor of peace and stability in the country by pursuing a rational and pragmatic policy," said the informal ruler of the country.
He asserted that the "Georgian Dream" would win the elections convincingly.
It is worth noting that only Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia spoke about the occupation of the country among the speakers at the presentation.
Parliament Chairman Archil Talakvadze stressed that the elections would be held in a fair and democratic environment.
Recall that after the constitutional amendments the elections of 2020 will be held on a semi-proportional system with a proportion of 120-30.
