Bidzina Ivanishvili, through the government and judicial clan, continues to illegally seize Omega Group's property

Zaza Okuashvili, one of the founders of Omega Group and the Mtavari Channel, releases a statement. He says that Bidzina Ivanishvili, through the Georgian government and the "judicial skin" continues to illegally seize the property of Omega Group.

According to Okuashvili, at 00:20 on New Year's Eve, dozens of masked individuals mobilized by the Bank of Georgia illegally and forcibly occupied Omega Group business premises, premium salons and service centers of Omega Motor. City" and the studios of the Mtavari Channel.

He says he is continuing the legal battle and warns potential buyers of various Omega Group properties that they will not be considered bona fide purchasers.

Zaza Okuashvili, founder of Omega Group and the Mtavari Channel, says Bidzina Ivanishvili, through the Georgia government and a clan court, continues to illegally seize Omega Group property.

Omega Group is a legal owner of all its assets, both real and personal, according to Georgian and international legislation. Confiscation of these assets and attempts to get rid of them are illegal.

Over the past years and months the property of Omega Group was encroached upon by both the government and the Bank of Georgia in flagrant violation of the law, and on New Year's Eve, at 00:20, dozens of masked individuals mobilized the Bank of Georgia illegally and forcibly occupied the business premises of Omega Group Premium Motor City, Omega's Mtavari Channel studios and service centers. The said persons kicked the guards out and illegally fenced the territory by installing iron bars against the background of inaction of patrol police who failed to fulfill their duty - not to allow the evident violation of law.

Omega Group was one of the largest taxpayers, contributing 1.5 billion GEL in taxes to the Georgian budget, and investments in Omega Group amounted to hundreds of millions of GEL. In 2018, before the government shut down the plant, Omega Group employed 1,700 people, some of whom are either unemployed or have emigrated.

As a British citizen outside of Georgia, I am pursuing a legal battle to restore my violated rights as an investor against the Georgian government, Bidzina Ivanishvili, and other specific individuals. This fight will continue to be directed at every manifestation of disregard for property rights.

I warn potential buyers of various Omega Group properties seized by gross encroachment on the property that they will not be considered bona fide buyers and will automatically become participants of the illegal collusion which Ivanishvili is waging against me as the founder of Omega Group and Mtavari Channel.
