According to the lawyer of the third president of Georgia, Shalva Khachapuridze, Mikheil Saakashvili wants to attend today's trial. The defense side has already applied to the Penitentiary Service with a corresponding request.
As for the court process, Khachapuridze says that a new motion will be put on the process to determine the time of questioning of experts.
"We will tell the court to determine the time of questioning of each expert. This will give us the opportunity to question so many witnesses faster. When you were with Saakashvili, it was very bad. I didn't like his color either, he was unwell, he had heard the statement of people's power, which in fact, notarized his death. He wants to attend the process. Let's see how much the penitentiary service will decide," said Shalva Khachapuridze.
For information, the trial of Mikheil Saakashvili's sentence postponement or release from sentence will be held today, January 17, at 11:00 a.m. in the Tbilisi City Court.
