It would be good if they directed groundless appeals to Saakashvili instead of the state - Tsulukiani on the EU ambassador

The Minister of Culture, Tea Tsulukiani, calls the EU Ambassador to Georgia, Pavel Herchinski's concern regarding the third president, surprising.

According to her, Herchinsky makes groundless appeals to the state. Tsulukiani "recommends" the ambassador to address these calls to Mikheil Saakashvili and urge him to "stop unacceptable behavior".

"Public Broadcaster" broadcasts the minister's comment on this topic:

"In order for the efforts made by the state to be even more successful, better cooperation from the prisoner himself with the penitentiary service is desirable. That's why it would be very good if Herchinski instead of making groundless appeals to the state, to appeal to Saakashvili and calls on him to stop the unacceptable behavior that he is distinguished by towards nurses, doctors and others. In order to better manage his own health and problems, he should cooperate with the penitentiary service and the civil medical sector in which he is in comfortable conditions, so to speak, in a two-room suite and in exceptional conditions.

Also, Mr. Herchinski urged us to take better care of prisoners, to take care of all prisoners equally. I want to tell him that we have already taken his call into account and fulfilled it. For example, in 2010, 144 prisoners died due to negligence and lack of care in Georgian prisons, last year 21 prisoners died. Therefore, we can consider that we have already fulfilled Herchinski's call," said Tea Tsulukiani.
