The cachexic state has reached the point that it will lead to the onset of polyorgan failure - Javashvili on Mikheil Saakashvili

"The patient's condition is not severe, or moderately severe, but extremely severe", - this is how endocrinologist Dr. Lali Javashvili assesses the health condition of the third president.

At the court session, where he was questioned as a witness, the doctor once again explained that Mikheil Saakashvili has a cachexia condition and that he cannot take food.

"Today, the patient's weight is 69 kilograms. The difference [from the weight at the time of arrest] is 45 kilograms. Practically, the process of weight loss of more than 30 percent to automatically assumes cachexia. The fact is, we really have a cachexic state. Whether he cant eat or doesn't want to eat, I always thought that the patient was unable to feed, because a number of circumstances prevent him from doing so. As a doctor, as an endocrinologist and nutritionist, I firmly state and will not retract my words in any way that the patient is unable to feed himself. The cachexic state has reached the point, which will probably cause polyorgan failure in a few days. It goes without saying that all this is extremely difficult," says Lali Javashvili.

At the court session, Javashvili also talks about the problem of polypharmacy, according to him, the third president was treated with 10 or more drugs, when, according to the doctor, more than 5 drugs do not work at all.

According to him, if Mikheil Saakashvili's health condition continues like this, Mikheil Saakashvili may die.
