The General Secretary of "Georgian Dream", Kakha Kaladze, does not rule out that the European Commission will make a "political decision" and not grant Georgia the status of a candidate country. According to him, the government will follow the recommendations thoroughly, as for depolarization, it cannot be reduced unilaterally.
"Everything will be done from our side, all these 12 points will be fulfilled. One of the directions is polarization, it is clear, it cannot happen unilaterally, it is impossible, we have talked about it a lot, but all the other recommendations that were made will be fulfilled meticulously.
However, what decision will be taken as a result does not depend on us, I do not rule out that they will make a political decision again and not grant us status, nor do I rule it out based on today's reality, based on the decisions that were made then," Kaladze said.
In his opinion, there was no explanation why Georgia was not given the status of a candidate country and it was given to Moldova and Ukraine.
