He is dying in prison and this will affect the European future of Georgia - Fotyga on Mikheil Saakashvili

European parliamentarian Anna Fotyga once again called on the authorities of Georgia from the tribune of the European Parliament to release Mikheil Saakashvili in order to provide him with adequate treatment. At the debate held in Brussels, Fotyga recalled Putin's threat to Mikheil Saakashvili:
A few years ago, Vladimir Putin described what he would do to Saakashvili, the then president of Georgia. Like any other person, he is loyal to his country and wanted to be in Georgia. He is not treated like other citizens. I appeal to the Georgian government to release Saakashvili and allow him to be treated abroad. He is dying in prison, and this will have an impact on Georgia's European future," noted Anna Fotyga.
