The EU ambassador to Georgia met with the newly elected chairman of the National Movement. The main topics of the meeting were the situation of Mikheil Saakashvili, the illegal imprisonment of Nika Gvaramia and the 12-point plan of the European Union.
According to representatives of the National Movement, Mikheil Saakashvili's case is directly connected with the country's European perspective, which was confirmed by this meeting.
"We talked about President Saakashvili's health, life, and his survival. We also talked about the fact that the European future of our country is tied to President Saakashvili's health. Everyone is well aware that no one is waiting for the president's murderers in Europe, and this prospect may drag on for decades if President Saakashvili's condition ends fatally.
Of course, we talked about the political imprisonment of Nika Gvaramia. On the European perspective of our country, the fulfillment of the 12 points and the problems we face in fulfilling these points. The "Georgian Dream" is trying not to fulfill all this," Khabeishvili said after the meeting.
