According to Geostat data, the volume of goods exported from Georgia in January 2023 amounted to 459.0 million US dollars, which is 38.5 percent more than the corresponding period of last year.

According to data of Geostat , Russia is the largest trade partner of Georgia so far. In January 2023, Georgian exports to Russia, compared to the same period of the previous year, increased by 105% and amounted to $87.8 million dollars.

In January 2023, the import from Russia also increased and its value amounted to $175.8 million dollars, and the percentage increase was 104.5%. Armenia takes the second place in the export part with $69.8 million dollars.

Azerbaijan is in the third place - with $51.9 million dollars. It should be noted that only two countries of the European Union were among the top ten exporters. They are Bulgaria, which ranks seventh with $25.7 million, and Spain, which ranks tenth with $19.2 million.

The top 10 exporting countries are as follows:

  1. Russia - $87.8 million, an increase of 105% over the previous year;
  2. Armenia - $69.8 million, an increase of 235% over the previous year;
  3. Azerbaijan - $51.9 million, an increase of 11% over the previous year;
  4. Kazakhstan - $32.8 million, an increase of 433% over the previous year;
  5. China - $31.7 million, an increase of 14% compared to the previous year;
  6. Turkey - $31.3 million, - an increase of 14% compared to the previous year;
  7. Bulgaria - $25.7 million, - down 48% compared to the previous year;
  8. Spain - $19.2 million, - an increase of 332% compared to the previous year;
  9. Peru - $17 million - an increase of 461% compared to the previous year;
  10. Kyrgyzstan - $16.5 million - an increase of 1031% over the previous year.
