If we had launched the second front, we would have been relevant, however, there is peace in Georgia – Kobakhidze

Irakli Kobakhidze believes that Georgia is not relevant for the West because there is peace in the country. According to him, Ukraine is relevant because of the war, and Moldova because of the internal political situation in the country.

"Ukraine is relevant today primarily because of the sad event -of the war. We were relevant in 2008 as well. If we had opened a second front, as high ranking officials of the Ukrainian government asked for, we would have been very relevant, but there is peace in Georgia and attention has been shifted to Ukraine and Moldova. Moldova is in a difficult situation, they have 2% economic growth and 30% inflation, half the population is already pro-Russian, and they [the West] need to strengthen the Moldovan president. That is why special attention is paid to Moldova", - says Kobakhidze.

For information, during his visit to Poland, Joe Biden spoke about Moldova along with Ukraine, and also expressed his support for President Maia Sandu. Georgia was not mentioned.
