96 in favor - 0 against - Levan Ioseliani has become the Public Defender of Georgia for 6 years. The Parliament expressed confidence in his candidacy a few minutes ago.
"Lelo" party did not support Ioseliani. During her speech, Salome Samadashvili noted that today the Public Defender has been "appointed". Khatuna Samnidze, Tamar Kordzaia and Teona Akubardia expressed their support for Ioseliani. Their position is that Ioseliani answered all the questions at the committee hearing.
Levan Ioseliani was nominated for the position of Public Defender. by the parliamentary political group "Citizens". On March 6, Ioseliani was heard at the meeting of the Human Rights Protection and Civil Integration Committee. Ioselian's powers as a deputy were automatically terminated.
