The political council of the Georgian Dream, the People's Power and the parliamentary majority have made a joint statement. The statement says they have decided "unconditionally, without any reservations" to withdraw the draft law they supported.
The joint statement says that "radical forces" have been able to "draw some of the youth into illegal activities". The parliamentary majority says that when the emotional background subsides, they will explain better to the public why the bill was introduced.
The statement also says they will start meetings with the public and bring the "truth" about every detail of the issue to the general public.
