Proportional lists are being drawn up - parties have not yet provided specific names

Published:

Three months before the elections, the political parties began drawing up proportional lists. Following the nomination of majoritarian candidates, the ruling party and the opposition are now selecting candidates for inclusion in the party list.

"Dream" does not know if Bidzina Ivanishvili will be number one on their party list. The management says, new and old, experienced faces will appear in the top ten of the list.

The main contours of the first ten of the list are already outlined in the main opposition parties. "The United National Movement - UNM" is not yet going to name the list and will do so in early September.

"Our main task in this election is to defeat Bidzina Ivanishvili, so all our decisions are motivated by one task - to succeed in the elections. It does not matter for us who will be on the list, including the alliance with other political entities. "- says UNM's MP Salome Samadashvili

"European Georgia" says that the first number on the list will be David Bakradze, and they do not disclose information about other members of the list.

The leader of "Georgian Dream" has not yet made a statement whether he will be number one on the list or not. The ruling party says the opposition is afraid of Ivanishvili and whether he will be number one on the list or not, Ivanishvili is still in the first place. Recall that parties are to submit party lists to the CEC two months before the elections, at the latest in early September.
