Chairman of the "Georgian Dream" Irakli Kobakhidze claims that the Director General of "Mtavari Channel" Nika Gvaramia is serving the sentence not for using a car, but for robbing "Rustavi 2" with 7 million.
Moreover, as Kobakhidze told journalists, releasing political prisoners is not part of the European Commission's 12-point plan and it is "fundamentally wrong" to talk about this.
"Regarding the release of criminals, this is not a constituent part of the 12-point recommendation, and therefore, of course, it is wrong in principle to talk about it. [Mikheil Saakashvili and Nika Gvaramia] are both guilty, they have been charged with serious crimes. Gvaramia has not been arrested for using a car , he was arrested for robbing his former TV company with 7 million," - said Kobakhidze.
We remind you that on May 16, 2022, judge Lasha Chkhikvadze sentenced Nika Gvaramia, Director General of "Mtavari Channel", to 3 years and 6 months in prison.
