We are starting consultations with Nika Gvaramia's freedom movement, parties, NGOs - briefing of "Droa"

The leaders of the "Droa" party, Nino Goguadze and Elene Khoshtaria, held a briefing where they talked about the fact that  the President did not  pardon the  Director General of "Mtavari  Channel" and the failed visit to Strasbourg. According to them, it was once again confirmed that all decisions in Georgia are made by the informal ruler, Bidzina Ivanishvili.

"A few days ago, the President of Georgia did not pardon Nika Gvaramia again, Nika Gvaramia, who has been innocently in prison for more than 11 months. The President of Georgia could have stopped this injustice legally , but she did not do it, thus proving once again that there is no branch of government in Georgia, not a single institution, not a single formal official, who independently, according to conscience and law, makes a decision in favor of the country's European choice. All decisions are made by the only, real, informal ruler of this country, Bidzina Ivanishvili, and all institutions, all officials serve the purpose of executing his wishes ," said Goguadze.

According to her, Georgian citizens should not give up, they should fight for the European future of the country, "for Nika, for Lazare, for saving the life of a human being, the third president".

The leader of Droa, Elene Khoshtaria, says that "practically a year ago, Georgian Dream deliberately sabotaged the country's historic opportunity to obtain candidate status by arresting Nika Gvaramia".

According to her, by not pardoning Nika Gvaramia and cancelling her visit to Strasbourg, the President has once again sabotaged the European path.

"We are not going to put up with this, we are not going to act according to a different agenda, the agenda proposed by the Georgian Dream, so we are starting consultations with the Movement for the Freedom of Nika Gvaramia, with all political parties, non-governmental organisations, on how to correct the biggest damage that has been inflicted for the second time. A blow to our European perspective," said Khoshtaria.
