Members Movement for Nika Gvaramia's Freedom have met with the leaders of the opposition. All opposition parties agree that the founder of "Mtavari Channel" is a political prisoner, without his release, Georgia's democracy and the European future are under question.
The main topic of conversation was how to continue the struggle for the release of the political prisoner. The participants of the meeting agree that Salome Zurabishvili cannot be trusted and it is necessary to take effective steps.
The opposition and the movement members are calling on the government to make the right decision for the country and release from prison Nika Gvaramia, who has been arrested on absurd charges.
"This meeting is an attempt on our part to create a consolidated position on the one hand and a regime of cooperation on the other hand, which will allow us to fight more actively for not having a political prisoner in the country," says Gedevan Popkhadze, one of the founders of the Movement for Nika Gvaramia's Freedom.
Members of the movement have planned protests demanding the release of Nika Gvaramia. Specific dates will be announced shortly. It is known that all opposition parties will support the protest demonstrations.
