"Georgian Dream" MP, Mikheil Sarjveladze, responds to the planned visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili to Hungary, and says that he "doesn't understand the hype " started around the issue. An international conference of conservatives will be held in Budapest on May 4-5, Gharibashvili is among the speakers. Sarjveladze says that it is not incomprehensible what is there so special that the opponents call on the government to refuse to participate in the event.
"In no case, no one from the government of our country will allow themselves to speak with the same Hungary, which is a member state of the European Union, in the language of demarches. This will not be justified in any case. To be honest, I personally do not understand the started hype or what's going on here. They are urging us (I mean the opponents in this case) to refuse to participate in the specific event," said Mikheil Sarjveladze.
The Government of Georgia confirms that Gharibashvili will attend the Conservative Political Action Conference. Because of this, the ruling team is criticized in the West. The Socialist Party of Europe is considering a review of the partnership with "Dream".
