The mayor of Tbilisi, Kakhi Kaladze, says that if the issues that the Prime Minister talks about come into conflict with the party of European socialists, then they have nothing to do with them. This is how he responded to the statement of PES regarding the expulsion of "Georgian Dream" from the political union.
"We have said many times, and we will have to repeat it many times, that the main and most important thing for us is what we are proud of, our country, our past, the traditions, the values that we are based on , for example, I will bring one example - the family, which is important for each Georgian and we think that with these values we should become a member of the family that is called Europe, the European Union and what we have been doing for so many years. When we hear these types of statements, of course, it is very disappointing, if they really have this attitude and let's have a look what the Prime Minister talked about and what he focused on, it was on traditions, culture, values, family, if all this contradicts with the said party, of course, then we have nothing to do with this party, although, of course, we will continue to cooperate with everyone." Kaladze said.
We remind you that the Party of European Socialists condemned Irakli Gharibashvili's speech at the conservative political action conference in Hungary. As they announced, they will consider suspending the status for the "Dream" at the next session.
