If you use the LGBT topic as a tool of blackmail in the process of granting status, the society's response will be appropriate - Khundadze to partners

According to Dimitri Khundadze, a member of "People's Power", the MP of the parliamentary majority, the American president needs the votes of the representatives of the LGBT community, among other things, to win the elections. During his speech in the Parliament, Khundadze responded to the Pride Week announced in July and said that the representatives of the community probably hope for the patronage of America.

The MP addressed international partners and said that they would not accept instructions regarding tolerance from anyone. According to his own statement, if the LGBT topic is used as a "weapon of blackmail" in the process of obtaining candidate status, the response from the society will be "appropriate"

"If the American president needs the votes of the representatives of the LGBT community to win the elections, among other things, they want to promote it in Georgia to disturb the situation, to destroy the most intact beliefs and to erase the Georgian conscience. The month of July is approaching and LGBT Pride has been announced, just in time for the celebration of American Independence Day, probably with a hope of their patronizing. I am addressing our foreign partners, although you are in Georgia on an honorable diplomatic mission, and we respect you, but do not forget that you are guests, despite your mandatory and necessary visit to our country, guests cannot change the customs of the host in Georgia. We are not to be taught tolerance from anyone, nor will we receive instructions about it from anyone. I hope that you will not use the LGBT topic as another tool of blackmail in the process of granting the status of a member of the European Union, and if you try, the response from the public will be appropriate. This country has come so far with dignity, faith and respect for traditions, and today we cannot put a colorful fullstop on its future," said Khundadze.
