The Supreme Court left Nika Gvaramia in prison

The Supreme Court left Nika Gvaramia, one of the founders and director general of Mtavari Channel, in prison.
By decision of June 19, 2023 the Court declared inadmissible the cassation appeals filed by the lawyers of Nika Gvaramia and Kakhaber Damenia as well as by the Prosecutor's Office, thereby upholding the decision of the Tbilisi Court of Appeal of November 2, 2022.
For information, on May 16, 2022 the Tbilisi City Court sentenced Nika Gvaramia to three years and six months of imprisonment. The defence appealed against the verdict in the court of appeals - the second instance upheld the decision of the City Court.
The lawyers filed a complaint to the Supreme Court and on June 19 the Supreme Court declared the complaint inadmissible.
