Kobakhidze, the chairman of "Dream" again claims that Nika Gvaramia "robbed" Rustavi 2 and he blames the then president Giorgi Margvelashvili, the former public defender, Ucha Nanuashvili, the opposition and NGOs for this "robbery".
According to Kobakhidze, the suspension of the decision of Supreme Court by the Strasbourg Court at that time "gave Gvaramia an opportunity to commit a crime":
"Everyone knows about the crime committed by Nika Gvaramia. It was confirmed by the court at the time, by the way the same people were involved in the campaign which enabled Gvaramia to commit this crime, then the whole campaign was forwarded to Strasbourg Court, then President [Giorgi Margvelashvili], then Public Defender [Ucha Nanuashvili], oppositionists, NGOs and others applied to Strasbourg Court to suspend the Supreme Court decision and this decision was suspended for about 2 years. It was this suspension that allowed Gvaramia to commit the crime. He knew that Strasbourg would definitely follow the case that was heard at the Supreme Court The reason was simple: the Supreme Court at the time established the simple fact that Rustavi 2 had been seized from its legal owner and the Strasbourg court repeated the same decision. Gvaramia knew that he would have to hand over Rustavi 2 to the rightful owner, he took advantage of the 2-year suspension period and in these two years robbed the TV station of 7 million GEL, therefore, the then president, the then public defender, opposition parties, NGOs and their foreign patrons are responsible for this crime. , including those MEPs who are still talking about this case in a different way," says Kobakhidze.
When asked whether he expects Nika Gvaramia to be pardoned by the president, Kobakhidze once again reminds Zurabishvili of the statements made in the past. According to him, "it seems that the president has red lines and that's good".
